Conifer forest on steep mountain slopes in the Dungeness drainage. Nice view of Dungeness River near trailhead. The trail is heavily wooded with viewpoints.<br />
Pack and saddle stock, "street-legal" motorbike, and mountain bike users may want to make a long loop trip by traveling up the trail and returning on Forest Road #2870. Water is scarce. via fs.usda.gov
